What Santa isn't Real?

I was presented with the issue that 'Christmas is for Babies!' My son like many children was confronted in school about santa and other christmas related issues what do you say to comfort or appease their curiousity about why everyone is apparently lying to their kids. also what are some of the wild reasons your children or yourself possibly may have given to discredit christmas when you or they found out about santa.
