I have a boyfriend and my ex is back in the picture!!!?

So here's the thing I'm still confused 2 years ago I had a boyfriend which I love and care about so much and sadly I still do! We got along great everything was working so nice but he broke up with me just by saying he needed time well time past by n in this 2 years we never really talk he left me dissapear on me so of coarse I needed to continue my life now I have a new boyfriend n weird cuz out of the blue my ex called to see how was everything going with me?! Weird even know is been a while I always think about him but he hurt me so much! I told him I'm seing someone else then he tells me he still miss me that even know he dated other girls he has never had strong felling with anyone else but me, should I believe him? He sounds pretty honest tho we were on the phone for over to hours laughing just being the way we were before so much connection so many fellings n memories agh! Anyways he kept saying Is so good to hear your voice again and what also got me surprise is how he remembers everything when we were dating!! I'm soo confuse right now is been too long I change in many ways! He also said let's be friends put everything on the past start fresh,n that he wants to see me!what does he really wants I won't be a call either n I don't wanna get hurt again! How do I know if everything he says is true or he's just playing??!!? Please help!!
