How can I help my little zebra finch who is suffering from egg binding?

One of my little zebra finches is dealing with an egg binding situation. I've put her in a cage by herself and giving her water with antibiotic (from the vet) and tepid water to jump into. The last time this happened to one of my female finches I took her to the vet, got a lot of medicine, the swelling went down, she looked better, but died a few weeks later. I don't want that to happen to this little one. What can I do?
