Mount vesuvious able to erupt again?

Im doing an essay on mount Vesuvius and i need to know if mount Vesuvius able to erupt again ,area coverd by Debee/volcanic ash ,amounts and kind of damage ,and injures and fatality's my eruption date was the eruption on 8-24 ad 79 AKA- the eruption that destroyed Pompeii
