Wounded vet looking for means of support?

i am a 22year old male who was wounded in 2007 while serving with the 82nd airborne div in iraq. i now live in cape coral florida and i am fully rehabilitated and i was told that being a vet and earning a purple heart would give me a leg up on the job market but i have been without a job for almost 18months and it left me unable to afford a car and i am just weeks away from being homeless. i have tried monster.com and craigslist but most of the postings are in need of experience, collage educated or they are just scams. i am very smart and i am good with blue collar work please contact me and tell me how i can make money fast and legally because i refuse to become a homeless vet statistic. thank you
