Venice, Italy in the Renaissance?

so for this project in my world history cl, we have to tell why they should host the olympics in our specific city-state. I have Venice and i have to have 2 reasons about the geographic factors that would attract tourists and atheletes. keep in mind this is in the time of the renaissance. please help. thanks!
